An Investigation of statues of 1000 year old Nellaiappar kovil [Temple], Tirunelveli.

One of the oldest temples [1000 year oldest] of the world. The temple is built during 7 A.D. Nellaiappar Kovil is the 2nd biggest Lord Shiva temple in Tamil Nadu. Here we have some Interesting facts about Nellaiappar Temple.

The statue you are watching is called as ‘Yaali’. It is believed that this is an animal which is being strong in olden days and Tamilans are used to ride on ‘Yaali’.
